Mercato Solutions have started collaboration with The University of Liverpool Management School and introduced KnowledgeKube to the students from the Business Analytics and Big Data Management MSc programme.

KnowledgeKube is the perfect tool for technology savvy students who are looking to pursue a career in the software and technology sector. The low-code application development platform is empowering students to create web and mobile apps, as well as provoking their thinking to solve problems regarding data management within large enterprises.

Data sets grows rapidly, the world’s technological per-capita capacity to store information has roughly doubled every 40 months since 1980. Thus, big data is challenging organisations to invest in technologies that can capture, store, analyse and secure important information.

KnowledgeKube takes a different approach when it comes to the production and delivery of enterprise applications. We empower non-developers, but also experienced developers to design, build and publish innovative apps. Hence why we partner with universities to raise awareness of exciting development software and encourage students to think big.

Partner Manager at Mercato Solutions, Steve Vallis comments: “We wanted to approach university students and introduce KnowledgeKube as a rapid application development tool to encourage them to create apps that make a difference. This will not only enhance their technical and creative skills, but learning KnowledgeKube means opening doors to a world of opportunities.”

Zenon Michaelides, Lecturer and Director of Studies for the MSc Big Data Management and MSc Digital Business Enterprise Management, addressed students after the talk and said, “This is an excellent way to see how real-world companies work and what happens with cutting edge software.  I am looking forward to finding out your suggestions and seeing you develop your ideas.”

We have put together a competition for the students who want to stand out and create their own application. The competition starts this week and closes on the 1st March 2018. The winner will be announced on March 19th. With a total value of over £30,000 the winner will receive the following prize:
